Gau Strategic Objective

Arising from the mandate, GaU formulated the following six (6) strategic objectives for the Strategic Planning period 2018-2022:

  • To improve access, quality, relevance and equality in undergraduate and graduate education.
  • To improve policy and corporate governance for enhancing accountability and decision making.
  • To expand the University’s resource base through diversification of revenue streams and improve financial sustainability through eective and efficient financial and procurement systems.
  • To attract, develop, motivate and retain efficient sta of the highest caliber and make GaU an employer of choice.
  • To provide adequate facilities, services, ICT infrastructure and manage them eectively and responsibly for the benefit of stakeholders.
  • To improve university-community collaboration and contribute eectively to socio- economic development through active participation in CSR activities.
    • Core Strategic Objective

The core strategic objective of the university is to enhance access, equity, quality, relevance, and equality in undergraduate and graduate education through the following strategic activities:

  • Provide relevant and enhanced academic programmes that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop two (2) new innovative programs annually and review the existing programs at the end of the academic cycle.
  • Increase access to university education and retention through scholarships as well as online, distance and e-learning (ODEL) programs.
  • Establish linkages and collaborations with national and international universities and industry.
