Prof Warfa holds a Ph.D. (Curriculum and Instruction; Supervision of Instruction, Ohio University; M.Ed. (Secondary Education, Ohio University; MA (International Studies, Ohio University; BA (English & History, Ohio); Dip Ed (English Language & Literature, Siriba Teachers College)

He Has over 30 years of work experience.

Prof. Stephen Irura Ng’ang’a is Ag. Deputy Vice-ChancellorFinance, Administration and Planning

Prof Irura Holds Doctor of Philosophy in Planning – Maseno University (2011), Master of Philosophy in Entrepreneurship – Moi University (2003), National Diploma in Business Management The Kenya Institute of Management (1996), Master of Science in Forest Industries Technology – University College North Wales (1993), Graduate Diploma in Timber Technology- Bucks College in United Kingdom (UK) (1990). Diploma in Industrial Education- Kenya Technical Teachers College (1986).

Prof Justus Mochama Gori

Phd. Ag DVC(ASA)

Prof. Justus Mochama Gori is an Acting deputy vice chancellor in charge of Academic and Student Affairs (ASA).

Prof. Gori holds a PhD in Educational Management from the University of Botswana (Botswana), M.A. in Organization, Planning and Management in Education from the University of Reading (UK), B.Ed (History & Geography) from Kenyatta University (Kenya), DiP. Ed (Geography & Music) from Kagumo Teachers College and PTE (Kenya). Prof. Gori has more than 30 years of teaching experience at University and secondary schools in Kenya, Botswana and England.

The university Librarian.

Dr Iddi Juma

D.Phil. in LIS (Moi University), Library and Information Studies. M.Phil. in LIS (Moi), B.Sc. in IS (Moi). Library and Information Studies

17 years working experience in Library and Information related sectors both in institutions of higher learning and the civil society.

Professional training in Information Science (IT, Media, Publishing and Records Management) with specialization in Library and Information services.

Dr. Aden Ali Abdi

Ag Registrar, Academic & Student Affairs

Dr. Aden Ali Abdi is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Leadership and Management at Garissa University, Kenya, with over 20 years of experience in the education sector. He currently serves as the Acting Registrar for Academic and Student Affairs, overseeing academic processes and policies that ensure student success and institutional excellence. Previously, he was Dean of the School of Education, Arts & Social Sciences, where he played a pivotal role in curriculum development and policy implementation.

Dr. Aden has also contributed to capacity-building initiatives, including leading a World Bank project on educational leadership for high school principals in Uganda. His academic contributions extend to supervising graduate theses, conducting research, and publishing extensively on education in Kenya. He holds a PhD in Education from North Eastern Hill University, India, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Aga Khan University. His work continues to shape educational policies and practices, making him a key figure in Kenya’s academic leadership.

CS Salah A. Farah​

Acting Registrar Administration and Planning.

CS Salah A. Farah is the Acting Registrar Administration and Planning.

He holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) Specializing in Human Resource from Bangalore University, India and Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University.

Salah is a Certified Public Secretary (CS) and a member of Institute of Certified Secretaries, a certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) and a practicing member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). He is also a certified Human Resource Auditor from the Academy of Certified Human Resource Professionals (ACHRP). He has over 12 years of experience both in academia and Management.

He is currently pursuing PhD in Human Resource at the University of Nairobi

CPSP Hussein Y. Noor

Head of Procurement

CPSP Hussein Y. Noor is the Head of Procurement.

He holds a Master of Science in Procurement and Logistics (MSc PL) From Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Bachelor of Business Management Specializing in Procurement and Supplies Management from Mount Kenya University. Diploma In purchasing and Supplies Management from the University of Nairobi.

Hussein Y. Noor is a Certified procurement supplies Professionals of Kenya (CPSP-K) Member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (MKISM).

 

He has over 9 years of experience practicing Supply Chain Management

Dr. Rosalia Mwikali Mumo

Dean of Students

Dr. Mumo is the Dean of Students Garissa university. 

Doctor of philosophy in curriculum studies (Maasai Mara University )Master of philosophy ( University of Nairobi)Bachelor of Education _Arts( University of Nairobi).

A lecturer in Curriculum Studies. Served as a Director Quality Assurance and a Acting Director PSSP Garissa University in 2023. Dr Mumo is a seasoned student mentor, Counsellor, Educationist and an administrator in the Education sector with an experience of over 15years.
